Dr. David Hu, MD
Medical Director
Dr. David Hu, MD, serves as Medical Director at Serenus Outpatient Detox. Dual board certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, he brings more than two decades of experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment. Dr. Hu specializes in psychopharmacology and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. At Serenus, he provides medical oversight and helps guide the delivery of safe, evidence-based outpatient detoxification and stabilization.
Jean Kraljev, LMHC, MCAP
Clinical Director
Jean Kraljev, LMHC, MCAP, serves as Clinical Director at Serenus Outpatient Detox and brings decades of experience in mental health and substance use treatment. She began her career in 1982 and completed graduate studies in Art Therapy at New York University before continuing her education in addiction studies. Throughout her career, Jean has worked in hospital settings, as a primary therapist, and as a clinical director for mental health and substance use treatment programs. At Serenus, she oversees clinical services and supports an individualized, compassionate approach to patient care.
Donald Huston
Chief Operating Officer
Donald Huston serves as Chief Operating Officer at Serenus Outpatient Detox, bringing more than 15 years of experience in behavioral health and addiction treatment. His background spans executive leadership, operations, admissions, and program development across behavioral health organizations. At Serenus, Donnie oversees day-to-day operations and works closely with the medical, clinical, and administrative teams to support high-quality patient care, organizational growth, and the continued development of the program. Director of HR/Compliance
Jamie Huston serves as Director of HR/Compliance at Serenus Outpatient Detox, bringing more than 12 years of experience in behavioral health and substance use treatment. Her background includes the development and launch of behavioral health programs across multiple states, with experience spanning licensure, accreditation, staffing, compliance, and operations. At Serenus, Jamie supports regulatory compliance, human resources, and organizational operations, helping ensure the program maintains high standards across both patient care and the workplace.
Shannon Erb
Director of Operations
Shannon Erb serves as Director of Operations at Serenus Outpatient Detox, bringing experience in healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, and behavioral health services. She supports the day-to-day operations of the program while working closely with leadership on billing, administrative processes, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency. Marissa Parnell-Hunter, PMHNP, CNP
Nurse Practitioner
Marissa Parnell-Hunter, PMHNP, CNP, serves as a Nurse Practitioner at Serenus Outpatient Detox, specializing in withdrawal management and medication oversight. With a background in psychiatric and family medicine, she works closely with the nursing, medical, and clinical teams to help ensure patients receive safe, individualized care throughout the detoxification process. Marissa provides ongoing support as patients stabilize and prepare for the next stage of their recovery.
Chloe Nelson, RN
Nursing Supervisor
Chloe Nelson, RN, serves as Nursing Supervisor at Serenus Outpatient Detox, helping oversee the nursing care provided throughout the withdrawal management and stabilization process. She works closely with the medical and clinical teams to support patient safety, medication management, and continuity of care. At Serenus, Chloe helps ensure each patient receives attentive, compassionate, and individualized nursing support throughout their detox experience. Lexi Talbert, LPN
Program Nurse
Lexi Talbert, LPN, serves as Program Nurse at Serenus Outpatient Detox, providing hands-on nursing care and support throughout the withdrawal management process. Working closely with the Nursing Supervisor and medical team, Lexi assists with patient monitoring, medication administration, and day-to-day care. Her supportive and reassuring approach helps patients feel comfortable and cared for as they progress through detoxification and stabilization.

Seth Hedstrom, CPRSS
Outreach Coordinator
Seth Hedstrom, CPRSS, serves as Outreach Coordinator at Serenus Outpatient Detox, bringing a peer-centered perspective to connecting individuals and families with treatment resources. As a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Seth understands the importance of meeting people where they are and helping make the process of seeking care feel more approachable. At Serenus, he works alongside the outreach team to build community relationships, provide support, and help individuals take the next step toward recovery.
Brittany Crabtree, CPRSS
Peer Support Specialist/Case Manager
Brittany Crabtree, CPRSS, serves as Peer Support Specialist and Case Manager at Serenus Outpatient Detox, providing practical guidance and recovery-focused support throughout each patient’s time in the program. As a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist, Brittany helps patients connect with recovery resources, including AA/NA and other support meetings, while assisting with case management and individualized needs. She also helps patients plan for continued care beyond detox, supporting a smoother transition into the next stage of recovery.
Missy Gillispie
Care Coordinator
Missy Gillispie serves as Care Coordinator at Serenus Outpatient Detox, helping patients navigate their experience from arrival through discharge. She assists with check-in and intake, coordinates day-to-day patient needs, and works closely with the medical and clinical teams to help keep care organized throughout the program. Missy also supports discharge coordination and essential program operations, including maintaining and coordinating supplies needed for patient care.
Jennifer Maticia
Care Coordinator
Jennifer Maticia serves as a Care Coordinator at Serenus Outpatient Detox, supporting patients throughout their experience in the program. She assists with check-in, intake, day-to-day patient needs, and the discharge process while working closely with the medical and clinical teams to help keep care coordinated. Jen helps create a welcoming, organized experience for patients as they move through each stage of the detoxification process.
