Outpatient detox is medically supervised withdrawal treatment that doesn't require an overnight stay. You come in for scheduled visits, our clinical and medical team monitors your symptoms and manages your care, and you go home at the end of each session.
It means you don't have to take a leave of absence from work. You don't have to explain a weeks-long absence to your family. You don't have to choose between getting help and keeping the life you've built. You get the same level of medical oversight you'd receive in a residential program but built around your schedule instead of the other way around.
At Serenus Outpatient Detox in Jacksonville, that's exactly what we deliver. And we deliver it with a full clinical program alongside the medical care because we believe detox done right means addressing everything, not just the withdrawal symptoms.
Most outpatient detox programs in Florida are purely ambulatory. You come in, you get medication, you leave. There's no clinical component. No daily support. No connection to what comes next.
We built Serenus because we knew that wasn't enough.
When we designed our outpatient detox program in Jacksonville, we asked what someone actually needs to get through this safely and step into real recovery. The answer was medical supervision and clinical support together, every day, for the full length of the program.
That's what makes Serenus different. And that's what our clients feel from the first day they walk in.
Every visit, our nursing team takes your vitals, monitors your withdrawal symptoms, and adjusts your medications based on how your body is responding that day. Your first visit is a thorough intake: a full evaluation that allows our team and our nurse practitioner to build a detox protocol specific to your history, your substances, and your needs. From there, medical monitoring is part of every single visit.
You'll meet with a certified peer support specialist every day, five days a week. This is a real check-in with someone who understands what you're going through, personally and professionally, and who is there to support you through the process from start to finish.
Once a week, you'll have dedicated one-on-one time with a substance use counselor focused on your recovery. These sessions are a space to process what you're experiencing and start building a foundation for what comes after detox.
Our structured group sessions cover recovery-based topics. Every session is a meaningful part of the clinical program designed to give you something useful to hold onto during and after your time at Serenus.
A case manager checks in with you several times a week to make sure the practical pieces of your life stay intact while you're in treatment. Scheduling, insurance, step-down planning, the details that matter but shouldn't be your problem alone to figure out.
From day one, we're already thinking about what comes next for you. Before your outpatient detox program in Jacksonville is complete, your team will have a solid aftercare plan ready connecting you to the right next level of care so you're never left figuring it out on your own when you walk out the door.
Our Jacksonville outpatient detox center is open 7 days a week: Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 7 PM; Saturday and Sunday, 8 AM to 2 PM. Sessions are available in the morning, around midday, and in the evening so you can build your treatment around your work schedule, your family, and your life.
Most visits are about two hours. The program runs approximately 21 days.
That's real, clinical-grade addiction treatment in Jacksonville. Without an overnight stay. Without blowing up your routine.
Outpatient detox is a clinically appropriate level of care for most people. During your first visit, our team conducts a thorough evaluation to confirm that outpatient detox is the right fit for your situation.
Outpatient detox at Serenus tends to work well for people who:
If our evaluation determines that a higher level of care is more appropriate for your situation, we will tell you and we will help you find it. Your safety comes before anything else.

Your first day is the most involved; plan for about four hours. Our team will complete a full intake evaluation including a nursing exam, medical history, psychiatric evaluation, and a review of your substance use history. Our nurse practitioner will then build a personalized detox protocol and your taper will begin that day. After your first dose, you'll stay on-site for a monitoring period before you're cleared to leave. Clinical programming begins during that time.
One call is all it takes to get started. Our team will answer your questions, verify your insurance, and walk you through exactly what to expect -- no pressure, no commitment.
